Fair Use Policy
Network Technologies Queensland’s Fair Use Policy is designed to provide a clear understanding of the rules, regulations and restrictions regarding the use of Network Technologies Queensland’s Services.
By registering for and using the Services, and thereby accepting the Terms and Conditions of the Terms of Service Agreement or its equivalent, you agree to abide by the Fair Use Policy as modified from time to time. Any violation of the Fair Use Policy may result in the suspension or termination of your account or such other action as Network Technologies Queensland deems appropriate. An unlisted activity may also be a violation of the Fair Use Policy if it is illegal, irresponsible, or disruptive use of the Internet. No credits will be issued for any interruption in Service resulting from policy violations.
“Customer” refers to the entity that has applied for and subsequently agreed to purchasing of Services offered by Network Technologies Queensland;
“Services” or “Service” means any product offered by Network Technologies Queensland Pty Ltd such as NBN, NBN NEBS, Fibre internet connections;
“Agreement” means this agreement for the provision of the Services by Network Technologies Queensland Pty Ltd to you;
“Usage” means the measurement of time or data generated by Your Internet Access;
“Installment Period” means a period no more than two weeks immediately following the Date of Commencement;
“Third-Party” means any legal person who provides us with goods or services related to the provision of NBN Services;
“Service Location” or “Service Location Address” means the location at which a Service is installed;
“Contract Term” means the period that the Customer agrees to pay the monthly fee for each Service.
- Illegal
- Libellous
- Torturous
- Indecently depicts children
- Is likely to result in harm to other internet users
- Is likely to result in retaliation against Network Technologies Queensland by offended parties
The customer must not use any Service provided by Network Technologies Queensland for any activity which is illegal or unlawful.
- Providing Network Technologies Queensland with false account information
- Hacking or gaining access to someone else’s systems or information
- Copyright Infringement or Software Piracy
- Transmission or storage of data infringing Australian laws, including pornography, abuse materials of any nature, and viruses
- Utilise any Service to circumvent legal carriage of justice within Australia
- ‘Unreasonable’, ‘Unacceptable’, or ‘Inappropriate’ use
- Reselling or re-supplying the Service(s) without prior authorisation
- Using the Service in such a way as to cause harm, interference, disruption or congestion to the Network Technologies Queensland network or broader customer base
- Using the Service in such a way as to cause harm to, interfere with, disrupt or congest the National Broadband Network (NBN), or NBN or third-party equipment provided in delivery of the Service
- Requesting that you cease any behaviours that may be in breach of this policy
- Issue a warning to the customer regarding the breach
- Restrict the customer’s access to the Service, with or without notice
- Suspend or terminate the customer’s access to the Service, with or without notice
If Network Technologies Queensland believes the customer has broken the law, Network Technologies Queensland reserve the right to report the customer to the police and provide them with the customer’s personal contact information and Service usage activities.
